This is a high-fidelity Figma prototype I designed for an app called Slide. The purpose of Slide was to create an app that helped to connect students and instructors with internship opportunities.
To design a prototype for an app that achieves that goal, I demonstrated features like messaging, event planning, networking, social posting and job application. I took those features and fit them into an app prototype that was easy to navigate and understand. I used design elements like symbols to communicate function to the user while using the smallest amount of screen real estate possible. I would also implement functional features like vertical and horizontal scrolling to get the most function I could with as few tabs and pages as possible.
The prototype is a high fidelity prototype that closely mimics the experience of using the finished app, meaning it’s highly interactive, and it actually feels pretty intuitive to use, and I’m proud to say that the prototype was very well received.

The home page features access to a notifications tab, direct messages, other user profiles, social media posts, events and job/internship opportunities. Posts and events are scrolled through horizontally. Scroll vertically towards the bottom to read through job opportunities.
The bottom section features buttons that take you through different sections of the app.
Only so much of app’s function can be conveyed through these screenshots. To experience the feel and function of the prototype properly, I would try the prototype by clicking the link below.
